Today is a big day in the book world. It certainly is for me because all these wonderful books have come out today. How will I ever choose what to read first! Here is a list of books that are coming out today and everyone should try to pick up ASAP so we can all share the feels together!
- Renegades By Marissa Meyer ( Feiwel & Friends)
Pretty sure everyone who has seen my blog knew this would be on the list since I can’t seem to stop talking about how much I want this book! Marissa Meyer has created a world of superhero and villains with amazing superpowers. Every time I heard about this book it reminds me of X-Men. Marissa Meyer won my heart and soul with Cinder and the crew, I am hoping she can do it again in this new series.
- Haven By Mary Lindsey ( Entangled Publishing, LLC.)
I had the pleasure of reading the ARC of this book from Entangled Teen and Netgalley. It was truly a thrilling, dark, page turner that I couldn’t put down! The cover is as gorgeous as the story inside and needs to be on my bookshelf . See my full review here.
- November Girl By Lydia Kang (Entangled Publishing)
I am reading this as part of an upcoming blog tour hosted by Entangled Teen and Chapter By Chapter and will be posting a review soon of this wonderful book.
November Girl has a unique quality to it have yet seen in a YA book. The magic in this book came alive off of the page. Plus, again the cover and description is what made me want this book with a passion. (I have a book cover obsession I know.)
I am Anda, and the lake is my mother. I am the November storms that terrify sailors and sink ships. With their deaths, I keep my little island on Lake Superior alive.
Hector has come here to hide from his family until he turns eighteen. Isle Royale is shut down for the winter, and there’s no one here but me. And now him.
Hector is running from the violence in his life, but violence runs through my veins. I should send him away, to keep him safe. But I’m half human, too, and Hector makes me want to listen to my foolish, half-human heart. And if I do, I can’t protect him from the storms coming for us.
Retribution Rails (Vengeance Road #2) By Eric Bowman: (HMH Books for Young Readers)
This is the second book in the Vengeance Road Series. I personally haven’t read the first one but I have heard great things about it. The first book is called Vengeance Road. I really want to jump on this band-wagon and now I can read both of the books back to back if I want.
REDEMPTION IS NEVER FREE
When Reece Murphy is forcibly dragged into the Rose Riders gang because of a mysterious gold coin in his possession, he vows to find the man who gave him the piece and turn him over to the gang in exchange for freedom. Never does he expect a lead to come from an aspiring female journalist. But when Reece’s path crosses with Charlotte Vaughn after a botched train robbery and she mentions a promising rumor about a gunslinger from Prescott, it becomes apparent that she will be his ticket to freedom—or a noose. As the two manipulate each other for their own ends, past secrets are unearthed, reviving a decade-old quest for revenge that may be impossible to settle.
In this thrilling companion to Vengeance Road, dangerous alliances are formed, old friends meet new enemies, and the West is wilder than ever
This Mortal Coil (This Mortal Coil #1) by Emily Suvada ( Simon Pulse)
I seen this book on Goodreads and after reading the description I automatically wanted to read it. It gave me a Warcross vibe because it follows the story of a young girl who is also a hacker. I am interested to see what this book will be like.
Catarina Agatta is a hacker. She can cripple mainframes and crash through firewalls, but that’s not what makes her special. In Cat’s world, people are implanted with technology to recode their DNA, allowing them to change their bodies in any way they want. And Cat happens to be a gene-hacking genius.
That’s no surprise, since Cat’s father is Dr. Lachlan Agatta, a legendary geneticist who may be the last hope for defeating a plague that has brought humanity to the brink of extinction. But during the outbreak, Lachlan was kidnapped by a shadowy organization called Cartaxus, leaving Cat to survive the last two years on her own.
When a Cartaxus soldier, Cole, arrives with news that her father has been killed, Cat’s instinct
s tell her it’s just another Cartaxus lie. But Cole also brings a message: before Lachlan died, he managed to create a vaccine, and Cole needs Cat’s help to release it and save the human race.
Now Cat must decide who she can trust: The soldier with secrets of his own? The father who made her promise to hide from Cartaxus at all costs? In a world where nature itself can be rewritten, how much can she even trust herself?
Well that’s all of the books that I want to read/ get that come out today. I may be deep-breathing, and closing my eyes to pick a book to read today.
